Exploring the unspoiled natural beauty of Northern Thailand  and  kayak off the beaten path  these kayaking programs are best suited for newcomers through advanced alike with natural beauty and its accompaning silence in mind .

That river kayaking is a challenging sport comes with out saying but it doesn’t have to be class 3 (advanced white water) to be enjoyed. Taking  care to address all levels of kayakers an inventory of the best kayaking in Chiang Mai’s vicinity has been put together. Our nature oriented staff enjoy the verity in challenges the rivers and lakes have to offer and are happy to share  the experience.  “We welcome all swimmers” says the Director Aidan former Hawaii resident. After 20 years  running  a watersport company there he settled in Chiang Mai 2003 ,  the rivers intrigued the entrepreneur,  enjoying the scenic northern waterways and culture is reflected in the present programs . Lessons are provided and these trips are a great way to prepare for swifter waters learning river navigation and boat handling .

If this is your first visit to Thailand or Chiang Mai, a kayak trip  should definitely  be on your itinerary. Chiang Mai Kayaking is a Thai – American Partnership combining local knowledge with western standard service and equipment.

Scenic kayaking takes place 45 – 75 km north of Chiang Mai in the Mae Ngat and Chiang Dao region through out the year .Chiang Mai Kayaking does take water flow and weather conditions in consideration when planning an excursion.  River flow can vary daily in the rainy season and in the cool and dry season we can count on moving deeper into the jungle,  as water ways open up to exploration. The “mighty” Mae Ping River presents us with creek like conditions with kayaking  under a lush  canopy.
At high water levels in the rainy season, we also enjoy the fast flow in smaller creeks such as the Mae Wang river with its elephant population and faster rapids.

Call us for present kayaking conditions for the optimum trip .

Rainy Season : July – October,  water is UP.  the swollen rivers provide the best  Northern Thailand can offer. All runs are open .
Cool Season : November – February,The best of both worlds as water levels recede we can enter even deeper into the Northern Jungles.
Dry Season : March – June ,  The usually low water levels still grant us access to unspoiled hidden water ways through jungles and forests following the Northern Mae Ping River ,
